HISTORY
The Fall Nighter was born out of a desire to see churches in Rochester join forces to impact Middle and High School students in Rochester. We were struck with a desire to create an event that curious, skeptical and hurting students of all cultures would be excited about attending, whether or not they had any previous church connection.
The idea for this type of event came in late 2019. Several Student Ministry leaders from multiple churches in Rochester came together to plan an outreach event for students. By early 2020, we had come up with an event that we were super excited about! The plan was to first meet at Autumn Ridge, and then head up to the Mall of America to spend time at Nickelodeon Universe and GameWorks. Around 600 students and 100 adult volunteers had signed up to participate in the 2020 event, which unfortunately was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, hope was not lost! Despite the delays and uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, we remained committed to making this event happen as soon as we could. After further planning and the easing of restrictions, the inaugural event was renamed The Fall Nighter and rescheduled for October 2021. We were super excited to be able to finally hold this event for the first time and are excited about what the future will bring!
